The sternal ligature band is composed of a ligature band and a locking clip. The ligature band consists of an end, a strap, and a guide needle. The ligature band has a 7×7 right-hand twist structure. It is available in two types: without a guide needle and with a guide needle. The locking clip comes in two forms: pillow-shaped and I-shaped. The round end and the strap are made of titanium alloy (TC4ELI). The cylindrical end is made of pure titanium (TA1G). The guide needle is made of 30Cr13 stainless steel. The locking clip is made of pure titanium (TA3G). The surface of the strap is not anodized, while the surface of the locking clip is treated with colored anodization. The product is packaged in a non-sterile form.

Preoperative Preparation:
1. Before surgery, the appropriate size and specification of the product should be selected based on the patient's CT and X-ray images, and the size and model of the sternal ligature band should be verified and inspected;
2. Ensure that the sternal ligature band and its accompanying instruments have been sterilized.
Surgical Procedure Steps:
1. Reduction of the sternum;
2. For the ligature band with a guide needle, pass it through one side of the sternum and pull it out from the other side. For the ligature band without a guide needle, use a guide needle to pass it through one side of the sternum and pull it out from the other side;
3. Insert the end of the ligature band that has been pulled out through the locking clip on the other side, and tighten the ligature band. For the ligature band with a guide needle, cut off the guide needle with a titanium cable cutter before inserting it into the locking clip;
4. Use a dedicated tightening and cutting pliers to secure the locking clip and hold it for several seconds;
5. Use a titanium cable cutter to trim the excess ligature band.
